No spoilers and colorful language abound! I received this ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.


It has been 48 mother frackin' days since I have been able to finish a book. I have picked up countless books, including this one, and after a few pages, put it back down. I have even gotten mildly interested in books, only to put them down and never think of them again. I started Burn For Me a 1000 years ago, and up until last night, I had no idea when I would be able to read again. You know what I did? I cracked that fucking spine and it was like the heavens opened up and warm light shined all around me. I read this damn book in one glorious sitting, just like the good ole days.






Interesting fact: NYCC had a few off site panels, one featuring the marvelous duo behind Kate Daniels, and it was ah-mazing. Aside from their inherent adorableness, I learned some things.

1. Ilona Andrews is clever as fuck.
2. She has an amazing accent.
3. They are better together, you can just see how they inspire one another.
4. I was just too happy. TOO HAPPY.

Alright, enough crap about me. Let's talk about this book. I'm not going to into detail, this fits their formula for a new series. This books is about introductions, it's about getting a firm grasp on the new world they have created, this is about the long haul, and I fucking love it.

All of it. It's wonderful, I will read this entire series and love every book. I LOVE IT.




The worst part, it's a new series. I will spend the entirety of this fucking series waiting. I basically just signed myself up for like 5+ years of anxious waiting. Honestly, they can do no wrong, NO WRONG I SAY. If you aren't reading their books, you are a moron and I have nothing to say to you.
