Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass series Book 1)
My rating: ☆☆☆

No Spoilers! Definitely colorful language abound!

Eh. Listen, lets be honest here, okay? I spent the majority of this book being annoyed by everything. Albeit mildly, but still, it was there under the surface, brushing up against the edges of my mind.

That being said, I enjoyed it sometimes? It took me awhile to read, I got to the last third of the book and I could only manage to stay awake for five pages at a time. What does that say about the book you are reading? You can't be arsed to stay awake during the "good part"? Ehhhhhh. Neat.

So why the three stars? Good question actually. I could feel more being built. There is a bigger picture, there is tremendous growth potential for all the characters, there is more.

Also, Choal and Dorian are the fucking worst. Me every time they were in a scene:

I'm going to read the next one and see what happens. There was one quote, very early on in the book that I can't stop thinking about. I'm hoping we learn more about it.
